Norfolk Guitar Tuition

I'm Bob Maynard. I teach guitar, specialising in beginners of any age including adults (current students range from eight years old to over 60). If you have an electric, acoustic, classical or bass guitar, I can teach you. I can teach you to read music and guide you through the theory that underpins what we are playing.

I am a graduate, and have been awarded the Certificate of Teaching of the Associated Boards of the Royal School of Music and the Certificate of Education of Trinity College of Music, London. I have been a member of the Registry of Guitar Teachers for over twelve years and I also have DBS clearance. As well as giving private lessons, I also teach guitar in schools in the Norwich area.

Two beliefs govern my teaching: firstly, anybody with enthusiasm can learn to play guitar and secondly, the process of learning should be enjoyable and rewarding. In practice, this means that although lessons are taken seriously, we have fun in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The teaching takes place in a purpose-built and well-equipped studio with easy off-road parking only a five minute walk from Lingwood Railway Station. Normal practice is to give a one-hour lesson once per fortnight, half an hour for younger students.

Do you know someone who wants to learn to play the guitar? Perhaps they already play but would like professional tuition? A tuition voucher makes a great gift and is the perfect way to encourage a family member or friend on their guitar playing journey.
